Methodical program management is the bridge to project success

Flamingo Fares® – Hillsborough Area Regional Transit Authority (Tampa, FL)

HART in Tampa, FL implemented a regional, account-based fare collection system at three transit authorities, requiring strong program management with incredible attention to technical and financial details. As the lead agency, and nationally recognized as a transit innovator, HART and partner agencies charged forward with an open- and closed-loop payment system based on true open architecture. The regional system accepts MIFARE-based cards, contactless EMV bank cards, and a QR-based mobile ticketing app. CCG was originally tasked with an in-depth program management assessment, including all contract and technical requirements.

Thereafter, CCG became the acting Program Director to assist the new Project Manager as they led the regional fare project. CCG also led comprehensive integrated lab and field testing. Once all identified issues were resolved, CCG assisted the region with pilot testing, a marketing and communications plan, and full public launch support. CCG provided technical expertise and guidance through Full Systems Acceptance.
